Dance Xone Extreme Staff
Linda has taught dancing to students of all ages and levels for over 30 years. She has owned her own studio and been the dance director an another studio, producing outstanding dance programs. She trained in the Northern Virginia area, NYC, and teacher trained by Dance Masters of America at Kent State University in ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Acrobatics. Linda's dancers have won numerous awards, made high school and college dance teams, performed in Disney World, Universal Studios, Fox Channel 5 as well have professional careers teaching dance and performing on Broadway. In 1989 Linda was selected to choreograph three routines for twenty of her students to perform in the Bob McGraff Show at the International Children's Festival at Wolf Trap. Linda teaches our top award winning Company Tap classes at Dance Xone, and in 2016 her Youth Tap dance received the "Starstruck Cup." Ms Linda is the Mother of four adult children and a proud Grandmother.
Joy is a 2016 graduate of Shenandoah University where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and a minor in Religion. While at Shenandoah Joy had the opportunity to be a part of several dance residencies including: John Lehrer, Mike Esperanza, Stephanie Martinez and Company E. She also participated two Summers with the Christopher K Morgan Company Summer intensives. In the Summer of 2015 Joy was a back up dancer for "Weird Al Yankovich World Tour" in Baltimore. While in College, Joy has continued to choreograph many award winning pieces for Dance Xone. In June 2016, Joy danced a solo in closing worship at the Virginia United Methodist annual conference.
Joy grew up dancing since the age of 2. She is a graduate of Robinson High school where she was on their dance team, Captain her Senior year. She danced in the halftime of the Capitol One Bowl game in Orlando three times. She has taken master classes with Ron Brown, Paul Taylor and Angelo Rivera. Joy won the National championship with her solo dance in Hershey Pennsylvania.
Joy works for the Spiritual Life Department at Shenandoah University and returns to the full time Dance Xone staff as choreographer and teacher.
Allie graduated from Virginia Tech in 2015 where she studied Biology. Allie grew up dancing at a local dance studio, where she began to teach dance to younger children. She was a graduate of Centreville High School where she was a member of their dance team.
While at Virginia Tech, Allie was a member of the Fusion Dance Team and continued to teach dance and choreograph.
Allie came to Dance Xone n the Summer of 2015 where she teaches youth ballet and jazz. In addition,she has choreographed duets and ensembles for our studio that have received awards both at the local and national levels. Allie is teacher's aide in Fairfax County Public Schools.
Amber is a graduate of George Mason University. She has studied Irish dancing since the age of 3 and is an "Open Champion," having reached the highest competitive level. Amber studied Irish dancing and has been an assistant instructor at the O'Neill James School of Irish Dancing. She has won over 150 medals and placements and has continued to compete and perform both nationally and internationally. She has danced in many St. Patrick's Day parades, at DisneyWorld in an Irish Cultural Festival, and with many renowned Irish dancers (Colin Dunne, Michael Ryan, Riverdance, Lord of the Dance) Amber has competed in North American championships and in World Championships. Amber was a cheerleader at George Mason University and is currently a cheer coach at Robinson Secondary. Amber teaches Elementary School Physical Education in Fairfax County Public Schools. She is Mother to Emma, age one
Tori started taking dance classes at age 4 where she fell in love with the "spotlight." She has since studied ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, lyrical, poms and tap at several local dance studios, joining Dance Xone in its early years while she was in middle school. Tori was a 4 year member of the Robinson High School Dance Team, serving as Captain her junior and senior years. In college, Tori was a member of the Longwood Company of Dancers, where she was Costume Mistress and choreographed several pieces. She has worked as an instructor for Eastern Cheer and Dance Association and danced with Mayzsoul Inc. Dance Company. She has danced in the Pro Bowl halftime show in Honolulu, HI as well as at the Dance Place, the Warner Theater, Atlas Performing Arts Center, and the Verizon Center in Washington, DC and Dance New Amsterdam in NYC. In recent seasons, Tori's choreography has won National Championship in Ocean City, MD as well as the Fusion Judge's Award and Outstanding Ensemble Judge's Award in Woodbridge, VA. Tori graduated from Longwood University with her B.A. in Liberal Studies: Elementary Education and from George Mason University with her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership: Math Specialist Leader. She is currently a Title I Math Resource teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools and dances with the Beth Elliott Dance Group.
